At A Girl At A Time Sierra Leone we advocate for the rights of women and girls by creating an enabling environment for women and girls to thrive. We do this by seeking for changes in legislation protecting victims and survivors.

Is to see an end to all forms of violence against women and girls including harmful practices and hidden crimes.

 

ABOUT US

We are an independent organization engaging and empowering young people to participate on key issues around sexual and gender-based violence including female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) and other forms of violence affecting women and girls.

Through the following effective approaches:

  • Advocacy

  • Community Awareness

  • Peer to Peer Education

  • Mentoring and

  • Using Effective Communication Tools and Resources

A Girl At A Time we know that our strength lies not only in the work we do but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.

We realize that by working with youths from Sierra Leone and across the world we could overcome many the challenges faced by girls who often are victims of sexual and gender based violence, rape, including female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage, modern day slavery and exploitation.
